16.3 Feet Crocodile Captured in Palawan

Residents in Palawan captured a 16.3 feet crocodile early this morning, July 30, 2014.  Specifically, they found the crocodile in Barangay Rio Tuba in Bataraza Palawan.

They have captured the said huge crocodile when they noticed something which is making a rocket under their house at around 1 a. m.

The crocodile is then tied up after being caught.

According to the news, it took almost 6 people to be able to capture the said crocodile. After being tied up, the residents drag the said crocodile using ropes underneath their house.

The said crocodile will be turned over to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Convention Center. It is known that it took care two crocodile species in the Philippines.

There are no more other information given on the captured crocodile.The reason why the crocodile went near the houses of some residents in Palawan is not yet clear at the moment. There are no indications that the said crocodile is suffering pain why it went near the area where people lives.

There was also no given information that the said crocodile had hurt anybody in the area.

At the moment, the crocodile is already safe with those who are in authority. Lets just wait for more updates regarding this news.

  1. Remember What Happened To Lolong? He died to fill the amu(removed)t of humans like us, such a shame the largest crocodile in the world to be found in this century ended up dying in vain. Don’t let this crocodile end up with the same fate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nswfeY1B6kw I’m no crocodile expert but pause for a moment and imagine you switched places with a crocodile and you’ll get my point. Life is sacred so protect it don’t exploit it. About the last paragraph and I quote “At the moment, the crocodile is already safe with those who are in authority. Lets just wait for more updates regarding this news.” Please be more specific as to which authority you are referring to: is it DENR? or some LGU who doesn’t know anything about “the capture and release” of wildlife? Don’t murder another croc for the books!
