Coach Lea Salonga’s aspiring young singer Tonton Cabiles Jr., was the first semi-finalist who performed during the Live Show of The Voice Kids Philippines. He performed the song “One Day in Your Life,” during the July 19, 2014 episode of the show held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of the Resorts World Manila Hotel in Pasay City.

The 11-year-old aspiring singer from Naga City in Cebu Province is one of the two artists who represents Team Lea, in the semi-finals of the top-rating and top-trending singing competition in the Philippines, The Voice Kids.
After the performance of Tonton Cabiles, coach Lea Salonga noted that the young singer from Cebu has improved a lot from his performance during the Blind auditions through the Sing-Off Rounds and now the Semis of the competition. According to Coach Lea, she is proud of Tonton and admired his angelic voice during her Live Show performance of the song popularized by Michael Jackson.
Tonton Cabiles will go up against the other five semi-finalist which include Team Lea’s Darlene Vibares, Team Sarah’s Lyca Gairanod and Darren Espanto and Team Bamboo’s artists Edray Teodoro and Juan Karlos Labajo.
The results of the Live Show or the semi-finals of The Voice Kids will depend upon the results of the public’s votes. The top four artists with the highest percentage of votes will move on to the next round of the competition, the Grand Finals which will be held next week.
