The President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Benigno Simeon C. Aquino will address the entire nation at around 6:00 PM tonight, July 14, 2014. The national address of the President will be televised in most of the country’s major news network.
According to some speculations posted online, netizens noted President Aquino will tackle the recent Supreme Court ruling declaring the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) of the current administration as “unconstitutional.”

The national address of the Philippine President came after two survey organizations released the latest satisfaction ratings of Pres. Aquino, based upon the ratings released, Pres. Aquino got his lowest satisfaction ratings since he became President in 2010.
Before the announcement that the Philippine President will make a national address tonight, the Presidential Communication Operations Office Secretray Herminio Coloma, Jr., asked various news media organization in the country to air the live national address of Pres. PNoy.
He was quoted as saying “Humihingi po and Pangulo ng pagkakataon na makausap and kanyang mga boss, ang mga mamamayang Pilipino, para magbigay linaw sa mga isyu na humaharap sa ating bansa, kabilang na po ‘yung Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) na kailan lang ay pinagpasyahan ng Korte Suprema,” Sec. Coloma said.
