Class Suspension on July 15, 2014 Due to Bagyong Glenda (List of LGUs)

Local Government Units (LGUs) hit by Typhoon Glenda (Bagyong Glenda) particularly in Luzon area announces class suspension on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 due to the pressing weather disturbance which affected different regions in the country.

LGUs in Metro Manila and other counterparts of Luzon prodded to suspend the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) for today and on Tuesday after Philippine weather bureau Pagasa raised public storm signals in affected areas.

Muntinupa City is one of the first locality to declare suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) on July 15, 2014 from pre-school to high school level. Muntinlupa Mayor Jimmy Fresnedo advised his constituents residing in low-lying areas and within waterways to transfer to higher grounds for any untoward incident.

The Department of Education (DepEd) has reminded the public regarding the rules for the automatic suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in areas where storm warning signals are being hoisted. All institutions, private and public should abide with the rules of suspension amid the occurrence of tropical disturbances.

DepEd also posted a link on its official website the Rules on Suspension of Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) issued by the Office of the President through Executive Order No. 66 series of 2012.

Public storm signals has been raised in over 35 areas in the country with a maximum sustained winds at 120 kph and gustiness up to 150 kph.
