The American 7-time Grammy winner singer and songwriter Taylor Swift held a successful concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Friday June 6, 2014 as part of her “The Red Tour” which was presented by Cornetto.
The 24-year-old pop and and country superstar made a show-stopping performance by opening the show singing her new hit single “Red”. She also took the stage singing her popular song including “Love Story”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, “We Are Never Getting Back Together”, “22” and “Everything Has Changed” to name a few.
The sold out concert was attended by thousands of fans and supporters with celebrities including Kim Chiu, Ruffa Gutierrez with her daughters Lorin and Venezia, Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi together with their kids Cassandra and Maverick. Julia Barretto was also spotted on the concert.
Taylor Swift dubbed as “Country Music Princess” arrived in the country on June 5, one day before her concert. She travelled to the country via special AirAsia aircraft, painted by a Taylor Swift design.
Aside from her concert in the Philippines, Taylor Swift went also to other Asian countries which include China and Japan. She will also be heading to Singapore and Malaysia as part of her South East Asian leg for her “Red Tour”.
Taylor Swift’s concert in Thailand concert was cancelled due to political issues in the country.
This is Taylor Swift’s second concert in Manila following her successful show last February 19, 2011.
