Daniel Padilla Wants to Prove “Teen King” Title with His New Movie

Daniel Padilla admitted during an interview that he is challenged with his “Teen King” monicker in Philippine Showbiz industry. He wants to prove to his fans and followers that he is worthy of such praise on him. The actor also promotes his upcoming movie “She’s Dating The Gangster.”

The teen star noted that although he is often hailed as “Teen King,” he is a far from finished product. The 19-year-old son of Karla Estrada and Rommel Padilla is currently busy with his upcoming movie with Kathryn Bernardo titled “She’s Dating The Gangster.”

Daniel Padilla worked so hard on his highly anticipated movie, he was quoted as saying “Ako talagang kailangan kong galingan at pagtrabahuhan pa ang acting ko at mas mahalin pa ang trabaho kasi gusto ko talaga [maging] maganda ‘yung movie,” Daniel said.

The “Teen King,” Daniel Padilla praises her leading lady in the movie and her former partner in “Got To Believe,” Kathryn Bernardo who also worked so hard for their movie which is a sort of reunion for the Teen King and Queen in the showbiz industry.

The movie “She’s Dating The Gangster” is based upon the book originally written by award-winning author, Bianca Bernardino. According to Daniel Padilla he hopes to replicate the success of their love team’s last movie, “Pagpag” that became successful in the box office.

Daniel Padilla also noted that he is glad to be working again with veteran director Cathy Garcia-Molina, the same director of the their highly-successful television series.

The movie “She’s Dating The Gangster,” is a story about two teenagers, Kenji de los Reyes and Athena Dizon, whose pretend relationship eventually turns into reality, getting both characters deeply in love with each other. The movie is schedules to be release this coming July 2014.
