Manny Pacquiao: Richest Congressman in 2013 (SALN)

Filipino boxing superstar and Sarangani Representative Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao still the richest congressman in the country for the year 2013.

Based upon his filed statement of assets and liabilities net worth (SALN) released on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, the only billionaire in the House of the Representatives had a net worth of  P1.4 billion in 2013 according to Inquirer.net.

Manny Pacquiao was followed by Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos with P922.8 million who landed on the second spot while Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. of Quezon City was ranked third as the richest congressman for 2013 with a net worth of  P819.749 million.

Negros Occidental Rep. Alfred Benitez landed on the fourth place with P713.875 million while Negros Occidental Rep. Julio Ledesma IV.  was placed as the fifth-wealthiest solon with  P617.326 million net worth.

Placing on the sixth spot as the richest congressman in 2013 is Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar with P526.450 million while Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Imelda Marcos’ nephew went on the 7th place with P475.002 million.

Rizal Rep. Joel Roy Duavit was placed as the 8th richest congressman in 2013 with P272.975 million net worth while Tarlac Rep. Enrique Cojuangco Jr. got the ninth place with  P217.52 million net worth.

Maguindanao Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu, the brother of Maguindanao Governor Esmael Mangudadatu is the only newbie solon in the Top 10 list of richest congressman in the country in 2013 with P215.850 million.

Anakpawis Rep. Fernando Hicap is the poorest lawmaker in 2013 with P37,722 net worth. The record also states that at least 30 congressman have more than P100 million net worth.
