Phil Younghusband Scored First Goal Against Turkmenistan

Philippine Azkals striker Phil Younghusband scored the first goal of the game against Turkemnistan on Saturday night after a free kick earned by the Azkals when Patrick Reichelt was fouled by Turkmenistan.

The first goal for the Philippines put them ahead with 1-nil in the match against Turkmenistan. Phil Younghusband scored the first goal of the game at around 49th minutes of the game a few minutes after the first half ended.

The Philippine Azkals performed well during the first half of the match playing intense defense against Turkmenistan with some of their shots on target. Turkmenistan had chances of scoring also during the first half.

Turkmenistan almost scored the goal at around 43rd minutes when one of Turkmenistan’s player was sent to the penalty kick but Roland Muller saved the day for the Azkals as he was able to predict where the ball was going and successfully defended with superb goalkeeping abilities.

The Fil-German Roland Muller was able to proved to himself that he is a worthy replacement of the Fil-British Neil Etheridge who was sidelined in the Azkals third game in the AFC Challenge Cup.
