Freddie Aguilar Reacts on Daughter Maegan’s Accusations

“Anak” hitmaker Freddie Aguilar has reacted on the pressing controversy between him and his daughter Maegan who accused him for being “a bad man and negligent father.”

According to the 61-year-old OPM icon, he finds  “unfortunate that my daughter decided to take a private matter to the press.”

“I have been supporting my 35-year-old daughter and her family for many years now and have no intention of dragging her through the mud for entertainment’s sake,” Freddie Aguilar told ABS-CBNnews.com.

Maegan Aguilar, the daughter of the award-winning singer-songwriter to estranged wife Josephine Queipo slammed her father for throwing her and her children out into the streets.

The daugher of the multi-awarded singer claimed that her father kicked her out of their home oven an argument involving her unpaid debt of P1,500 and “rotten vegetables.”

“My daughter, her partner, and all the other people living in my house know the truth,” Freddie Aguilar said in response to the statement of his daughter.

Maegan Aguilar noted that she that she had always defended her father amid criticisms for marrying a 17-year-old teenager identified as Jovie Gatdula Albao under Islamic rites last November.

“I wish Maegan all the best as she moves on and takes responsibility of her own life,” Freddie Aguilar said in a statement as a message to his daughter. “It is because I love my daughter that I choose to say nothing more on this matter,” he added.
