Maegan Aguilar, the daughter of OPM icon Freddie Aguilar slammed the singer-songwriter for being a “bad father” after the “Anak” hitmaker threw her and her children out into the streets.
“He is a bad man and a negligent father. I had an awful childhood. Not any one of us, his children, did well in show business because he did everything to derail our careers,” she said. “We lack confidence because he wanted us to fail, so that we would be forever at his mercy,” Maegan Aquilar told Inquirer.net.
Maegan Aguilar stressed that she had always defended her father for criticisms particularly after the renowned singer entered in a budding romance with a teenager whom he previously married under Islamic rites.
According to Maegan Aguilar, her father threw her and her kids due to the incident which involve the “rotten vegetables.” Aside from the veggie controversy, their rift heated up following a cash debt to her father.

Meagan Aquilar works in a bar owned by her father, the Ka Freddie in Tomas Morato in Quezon City. She said that she only earns P4,000 a month.
Maegan Aguilar who now stays with her bandmate along with her children backtracks support from Gabriella and other Muslim groups to her dad.
“My past statement of support for my father’s marriage to a young girl was a complete lie. I was never in favor [of that]. I got hurt when he married her without telling me or other family members,” Maegan Aguilar said in a statement.
