The controversial Filipino music icon Freddie Aguilar will marry his 16-year-old girlfriend Jovie Gatdula Albao on Friday, November 22, 2013 under Islamic rites to be held in Maguindanao as reported by Tempo.

The 60-year-old Freddie Aguilar has been under scrutiny after he revealed to the public that he was in a relationship with a 16-year-old Juvy Gatdula Albao. Aguilar and his 16-year-old girlfriend dominated various social media sites as the top trending topics.
Under Philippine Laws, Freddie Aguilar is not allowed to marry Jovy Gatdula Albao because of the age of the girl aside from the fact that they were having a huge age difference of 44 years.
The wedding between Freddie Aguilar and Juvy Gatdula Albao will be officiated by officiated by a local cleric, Imam Abdulwahid Sumawang with Maguindanao Governor Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu as one of the principal sponsors.
