Melissa Harrison, BuzzFeed’s weekend lifestyle editor listed some of the most popular Filipino dishes describing the Pinoy’s favorite vote as awesome, she also posted some description on why she called Filipino dishes as “awesome.”
Filipinos are known worldwide as one of the most festive and smiling people, so the BuzzFeed editor also wrote that “It’s time to feast.” Harrison noted.
Some of the dishes mentioned on BuzzFeed article include the sinigang, lumpia, cassava cake, ube ice cream, chicken afritada, the popular pork adobo, chicharon, chicken bistek, calamansi whiskey sour, sizzling pork sisig and bibingka to name a few.
Other Filipino dishes included in the list of 24 Delicious Filipino Dishes were the kare-kare, halo-halo, lechon, biko, kaldereta, arroz caldo, dessert lumpia, longganisa, ukoy, tocino, leche flan and Filipino spaghetti.
Aside from the Filipino dishes described by BuzzFeed, they also took time to include some recipes of the favorite Filipino dishes by putting a link of various websites who were making those particular dishes.
BuzzFeed is considered as one of the top website in the world with its worldwide Alexa rankings stands at 124th, aside from being ranked as the 45th most popular website in the United States based on Alexa.
The social news site, BuzzFeed can also boasts of more than 2.6 million Facebook Likes and counting, the site is considered as one of the most influential website in the world as of today.
