Actor-host Vhong Navarro is physically and emotionally ready to face his mauling suspects Cedric Lee and Simeon “Zimmer Raz” Palma for the upcoming preliminary hearing of the serious illegal detention case he filed in connection with his mauling last January 22, 2014.
Vhong Navarro is set to appear before Taguig Regional Trial Court RTC) on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 for the preliminary investigation of the non-bailable case he filed previously.
The serious illegal detention case filed by Vhong Navarro is in connection with the mauling incident last January 22, 2014 in Bonifacio Global City.
Early this week, Taguig RTC entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Cedric Lee and Simeon Palma after they refused to submit a petition. The probe was re-scheduled for another arraignment this coming Tuesday.
Based upon the report of Bombo Radyo Philippines, Atty. Alma Mallonga, the legal counsel of the 37-year-old “It’s Showtime” co-host said that her client is “physically and emotionally” ready for the preliminary hearing of his case.
Vhong Navarro‘s camp hopes that controversial model Deniece Cornejo will appear before the hearing. Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz are expected to be transferred in a regular jail facility next week.
Deniece Cornejo and Jed Fernandez, among the suspects in the mauling of Vhong Navarro are reportedly willing to surrender. The authorities have already conducted manhunt operations for the remaining suspects.
Cedric Lee and Simeon Palma were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Oras, Eastern Samar.
