The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released on Friday, May 2, 2014 the official results of the April 2014 Midwife Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Midwifery in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, Lucena, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last April 27 & 28, 2014.
The results of the Midwife Board Exam was released after three (3) working days after the last day of exam. PRC noted that a total of 1,093 out of 2,365 examinees successfully passed the board exam for midwives.
The PRC announced that there’s only one school who made it to the Top Performing Schools in the recently concluded April 2014 Midwives Board Exam namely the Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital School of Midwifery. At least 51 examinees from 54 takers successfully passed the exam or 94.44%.
The April 2014 Midwives board examination was topped by Bicol University-Legazpi graduate Margie Joy Cardel Red with 90.90% over-all passing percentage.
On the first day of exam, examinees answered questions from the following subjects: Obstretrics, Fundamentals of Heath Care and Infant and Care Feeding while Primary Health Care, Professional Growth and Development are the subjects on the second day.
During the November 2013 Midwives Board Exam, a total of 1,336 out of 2,902 successfully passed the Midwife Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Midwifery in various cities nationwide.
