Malaya Watson, the lone Filipino-American contestant to the American Idol 2014 Season 13 was safe on the recent elimination of the hit singing competition on Thursday night, April 3, 2014 (US Time).
During the elimination round, Malaya Watson, CJ Harris and Sam Woolf were placed on the Bottom 3. Aside from Malaya Watson, all of the Top 8 finalists of American Idol will advance on the next round of the competition.
Malaya Watson also gained positive compliment from the A.I. judges; Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban who held an outstanding ovation after the spectacular performance of the 16-year-old singer from Michigan.
The part-Filipino contestant has been tagged as the crowd’s favorite of the competition.

Sam Woolf was supposed to be eliminated on the singing competition, but the American Idol judges used their “save” to help the singer advanced on the next more rounds.

Meanwhile, the Top 8 remaining finalists of American Idol will gear up for the upcoming US tour of the contestants which will kick off this summer.
