Malaya Watson, the Filipino-American finalist to the American Idol 2014 Season 13 has entered on the Top 8 following the official list of elite Top 8 finalists revealed earlier.
The 16-year-old Tuba player from Michigan has stunned the American Idol judges; Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban during her performance last night and she was noted as among the “most consistently improving” finalist on America’s most prestigious singing competition.
Malaya Watson dominated during the live performances of American Idol 2014 Top 9 with her soulful rendition of The Beatles hit single, “Long & Winding Road” for the theme, “I’m With the Band.”
The part-Filipino singer has secured a ticket for the upcoming US tour of the American Idol Top 8 finalists which will kick off in the next few weeks.

During the recent elimination round of American Idol 2014, Majesty Rose, Sam Woolf and CJ Harris were listed at the bottom three.
However, Majesty Rose York or better known as Majesty Rose has failed to clinch for the next round after being eliminated on the competition. Majesty Rose failed to impress the judges during her performance.
The American Idol 2014 Top 8 finalists are Jena Irene, Malaya Watson, Alex Preston, CJ Harris, Jessica Meuse, Dexter Roberts, Caleb Johnson, and Sam Woolf.
