Sponge Cola’s front man Yael Yuzon wasn’t able to hold his tears on Friday afternoon upon seeing his bride, singer-actress Karylle, walked down the aisle, about to seal their love after more than three years of being a couple.
The “It’s Showtime” host announced her engagement with the vocalist early last month during an episode on the noontime show.
Karylle, in her a white vintage all-lace gown by Francis Libiran, tied the knot with Yael Yuzon at San Antonio ng Padua Church in Silang, Cavite on March 21, a day before the “It’s Showtime” mainstay’s 33rd birthday.
Her mother, singer Zsa Zsa Padilla wore a pink dress similar to hers.

The wedding entourage included several celebrities like Karylle’s co-host Anne Curtis, who handled the candles together with Tim Yap as secondary sponsors, another co-host Vice Ganda who stood as proxy for principal sponsor Bobet Vidanes, other principal sponsors such as Kris Aquino, Kim Atienza, Jose Mari Chan, Martin Nievera, Ryan Cayabyab, Sharon Cuneta, Ben Chan, Ricky Reyes, Robin Padilla, Lorna Tolentino, Gary and Angeli Valenciano, and Audie Gemora, and bridesmaids Iza Calzado and Divine Lee.
Yuzon’s three Sponge Cola band mates – Tedmark Cruz, Gosh Dilay, and Armo Armovit – were among the groomsmen.
The 30-year-old Yuzon had singer Paolo Valenciano as one of his best men, while Karylle hakd both her sisters Zia and Coco as her maids of honor.
The star-studded event was dubbed as “Wedding of the Year” and was attended by at least 150 invited guests.
Newlyweds Karylle and Yael Yuzon will be having their honeymoon in Europe next month and their itinerary includes watching an Eraserheads show in London.
