The University of the Philippines dominated the October 2013 Bar Examination Results as it was released on March 18, 2014 by the Supreme Court. Nielson G. Pangan of the University of the Philippines (UP) tops the list of Topnotchers.
The Supreme Court released the official results of the Bar Exam which was conducted during four Sundays of October 2013 announcing that there are 1,174 p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers out of 5,293 Law graduates who took the examination.
The University of the Philippines got a total of Five (5) Topnotchers out of the Top 10 slots of successful examinees. Nielson G. Pangan also achieved a remarkable feat as topnotchers because UP tops the Bar Exam way back the year 2005.

1. Nielson Pangan – University of the Philippines 85.8%
2. Mark Xavier D. Oyales – UP 85.45%
Dianna Louise R. Wilwayco – Ateneo de Manila 85.45%
3. Rudy Ortea – University of Batangas 84.2%
4. Eden Catherine Mopia – University of the Philippines 84.05%
5. Tercel Maria Mercado-Gephart – University of San Carlos 83.9%
6. Manuel Sarausad – University of Cebu 83.8%
7. Katrine Suyat – San Beda College Manila 83.75%
8. Michael Tiu Jr – University of the Philippines 83.70%
9. Marjorie Ivory Fulgueras – Ateneo de Manila 83.65%
10. Cyril Arnesto – University of the Philippines 83.60%
The Supreme Court of the Philippines also announced that the oathtaking ceremonies of the October 2013 Bar Exam will be held this coming April 28, 2014 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
Aside from posting the Bar Exam Results through the online facility of the Supreme Court, the Philippines highest court also noted that the list of p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers is also available at the Supreme Court Quadrangle in Manila with the hard copies and also projected on screen prepared by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
The Chairperson of the Philippine Bar Exam, SC (–foul word(s) removed–)ociate Justice Arturo Brion, announced the List of P(–foul word(s) removed–)ers and Topnotchers of the Bar Exam. He was also a former topnotcher during the 1874 Bar Exam with a grade of 91.65%.
