Starting Over Again Reaches P400 Million Mark

Starting Over Again starring Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga  continues to dominate in box office ratings reaching the P400 million mark.

The romantic-comedy movie made history as the first non-Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry to reached P400-million box office income.

Mico Del Rosario, Star Cinema’s Advertising and Promotions Manager confirmed the over-all rating of Starting Over Again. The movie which also stars with Iza Calzado was being dubbed as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

Starting Over Again which premiered last February 12, 2014 has breached the record set by Vice Ganda’s movie “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” which earned P332 million on its theatrical run in 2011.

Starting Over Again directed by Olivia M. Lamasan and written by Carmi Raymundo features the story of a heaven and earth romance between Marco (Piolo Pascual) and his student-girlfriend (Toni Gonzaga) leaving him without any explanation.

Years have p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed, their path crossed but in unusual situation. Marco found new love in the person of Iza Calzado who portrays the role of Patty. On the other hand, Ginny felt regret after working again with Marco.

Starting Over Again which continues showing in more than 270 theaters in the country and in the US is a part of Star Cinema’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Starting Over Again also made a spectacular impression on its international screening. There are no official figures for its result on international screening yet. But the reports claimed that the romantic-comedy movie also performs well in the United States.
