A Philippine-based showbiz website confirmed the death of veteran actor Roldan Aquino via Facebook post of the actor’s daughter Patricia claiming his father died on Monday night, March 10, 2014 at the age of 65.
According to PEP.ph, Patricia Aquino confirmed that his father Roldan Aquino p(–foul word(s) removed–) away last night after he was able to survive from his previous surgery due to brain clog which led to stroke.
In an interview with GMA-7’s showbiz-oriented talk show, “StarTalk,” last February 23, 2014, Patricia Aquino stated that based on the findings of the doctor, only 20 percent are the chances of survival of the critically-acclaimed villain actor.
Roldan Aquino went on a surgical operation last January 20, 2014. However, he was able to gain consciousness and remained bed-ridden after the operation.
“Lagi kami humihingi ng sign. ‘Pa, igalaw mo yung ulo mo kung gusto mo na umuwi. Ayaw mo na ba dito?’ his son Victor said in a statement. “Kasi nahirapan na po siya dun [sa ospital]. Sinubukan niya igalaw, nagalaw naman niya.” he further added.
Meanwhile, Patricia Aquino confirmed his father died with the following statement: “Goodbye papa. Tapos na ang paghihirap mo. Makakasama mo na si God. Mahal na mahal kita.”
On the other hand, Patricia Aquino also stated on her Facebook account that her father wake will be at La Funeraria Oro in Antipolo.
