Jodi Sta. Maria, the actress of the top-rating kilig-serye “Be Careful With My Heart” admitted that she is very grateful with the success of the series and she welcomes the latest development particularly the extension of the series until the end of this year.
The series “Be Careful With My Heart” is already approaching its second year since it started airing last July 2012. In an interview with ABS-CBN, Jodi Sta. Maria was quoted as saying “Masaya kami, hindi ba, dahil patuloy kaming makakapag-bigay saya at inspirasyon sa mga tao,” told ABS-CBN News last Saturday. “Natutuwa kami doon sa extension na binigay sa show.” she stated.
The extension of the “Be Careful” series was revealed to the media last week during an event featuring Richard Yap, the husband of Jodi Sta. Maria in the series. Jodi plays the role of Maya, while Richard Yap plays the role of the Sir Chief in the top-rating series.
According to some showbiz insiders working for the Kapamilya Channel, the series was supposed to run only for one season, but due to its success, the producers decided to extend it as the series had been credited for shaking up daytime programming in the country.
Be Careful With My Heart is already on its 20th month on air, the series remained as the No. 1 daytime show in the Philippines according to the statistics provided by Kantar Media. It has an average national audience share of 19% for the month of February 2014, ranking 12th overall as the most watched programs in the Philippines.
The Kapamilya Channel also acknowledged that the series spawned a line of merchandise for the company, such as the gold-selling official soundtrack album, a wedding magazine special, an international concert tour and a lot more of opportunities not only for the series as a whole but also for the individual stars who shines on national TV.
