The “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino denied the rumors spreading online that she will run for Vice President in the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election after his older brother Pres. Benigno Simeon Aquino III term as head of state will end in the next two years.

According to PhilStar report, Philippine President Aquino will anoint the current Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas as the administration party’s Presidential standard-bearer while host actress Kris Aquino will be Roxas’ running mate for Vice President.
The rumors of running as Vice President was vehemently denied by the 43-year-old host Kris Aquino during the late night show “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” featuring her as the co-host with Boy Abunda.
According to Kris Aquino the possibility of her running for public office in the year 2016 has “never been discussed.” The Kris TV host was quoted as saying “No truth. Huwag sila gumawa ng intriga kasi hindi talaga totoo,” she said. “No plans, has not been discussed, is not on the table.” she said.
Although Kris Aquino denies the possibility of running for Vice President, she also acknowledge that politics is in her blood already and noted that she is not dismissing the possibility of running for office in the future.
For the past few years there were rumors spreading online that Kris Aquino will run for a public office right after his brother President PNoy was elected in 2010. Kris Aquino also hinted last May 2013 that she’s open to running for a local office in a “big city.”
