Starting Over Again Earns P100 Million in Three Days

The movie “Starting Over Again” featuring Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga already breached the P100 million mark in Philippine box office earnings after just three (3) days of showing nationwide.

The confirmation of the P100 million income was announced by Star Cinema’s Mico del Rosario on his official Instagram account, making the movie as the fastest to reach the P100 million mark.

Mico del Rosario was quoted as saying “MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT SA SUPORTA! #startingoveragain P100 Million in JUST 3 DAYS!!” del Rosario posted on Instagram.

On Mico del Rosario’s Twitter account he also posted the following message “Hello P100!!! #StartingOverAgain breaches the mark in just 3 days!!! Salamat po sa suporta!!!” he added on Twitter.

The movie already surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the record set by fellow Star Cinema movie, “Bride for Rent” by Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, as the Piolo-Toni movie earned P25 million during the first day of showing.

During the second day of nationwide showing of Starting Over Again, the first day box office income was doubled in just a matter of days and finally on Day 3 box office results, the movie reached the P100 million mark.

The trailer of the movie “Starting Over Again” also dominated the social media sphere as it garnered more than 2.8 million views aside from the positive reviews on various website translated into a huge box office income for Star Cinema. The date of showing also coincided with the celebration of Valentines Day.

The Philippine movie company Star Cinema already started the year with a bang as their first movie “Bride for Rent” starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim set a record of P325 million in box office income, one of the highest earning non-MMFF-entry movie and the highest grossing Valentines movie of all time in the country.
