After being dethroned in the Philippine Cup, the Talk n’ Text looks for a bounce back conference, as the team is set to parade a NBA D-league standout to power them come Commissioners Cup.
According to Spin.ph the Tropang texters are bringing in Richard Howell, an under-sized power forward, who is playing for Idaho stampede in the D-league.
The 6’8 Howell has been solid for the Stampede and had a stat line of 18.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.6 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists.
Howell was undrafted in 2013 out of North Carolina State, where he averaged 12.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, 1.7 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists per game and ranked fifth-all time in his school’s history in rebounds.
The former First Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) selection also played three games for Denver Nuggets in the summer league and was part of the pre-season roster of the Portland Trail Blazers last September.
The TNT import is set to arrive in the country on February 10.
