The 47-year-old Filipina caregiver in Israel is the only foreign contestant in the world-renowned X Factor reality talent search, the most famous reality singing competition worldwide.

Rose Fostanes moved to Israel six years ago, obtaining a visa to work as a carer for the sick and elderly. The success of Rose “Osang” Fostanes lifts the Filipino spirits worldwide.

Her finale piece of the competition titled “My Way” sparked celebrations not only in the Philippines but worldwide with millions of Filipinos and OFW’s congratulated the prolific Pinay singer.

Although Osang Fostanes already got a contract from a recording studio in Israel, the immigration officials said earlier that her visa did not allow her to work professionally as a singer.

However, on Monday, Interior Minister Gideo Saar issued a statement that Rose Fostanes will be allowed to work as an artist. The official was quoted as saying “ordered the population and immigration authority to grant Rose Fostanes permission to work as a singer in Israel,” it said.
