The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the 5:00 PM forecasts of Tropical Depression Agaton located 165 km. Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 190 km. East of Surigao City (9.6ºN, 127.2ºE).

PAGASA raised storm signals No. 1 in Southern Leyte and most parts of Mindanao region. The Tropical Depression Agaton (Bagyong Agaton) has a maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center.
Bagyong Agaton is forecast to move West at 05 kph. The first Tropical Depression that hits the Philippines is expected to be at 80 km North of Hinatuan or 75 km East of Butuan City on Saturday Afternoon (January 18, 2014).
On Sunday afternoon, the Tropical Depression is expected to be at 50 km Southwest of Malaybalay, Bukidnon or 75 km Northwest of Davao City. On Monday afternoon the Tropical Depression will be 130 km West of General Santos City.
