The City Mayor of Makati, Mayor Junjun Binay denied the allegations that he ordered the arrest of three security guards of Dasmariñas Village after they allegedly prevented his convoy from using a gate as an exit.

According to a news report from ABS-CBN, the source of the Inquirer’s report gave false and malicious information to the media. Binay’s camp made the following statement:
“The Inquirer relied too heavily on a source who was conveniently not identified. Obviously the source gave false and malicious information to the PDI,” Binay’s camp said.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Thursday, that Mayor Binay ordered the arrest of three security guards. Binay’s camp added further that “Contrary to the report, no arrests were made, and the mayor did not order any arrest. The guards volunteered to go with the police. The video bears this out.” they stated.
The owner of the Right Eight Security Inc., Ram Antonio who explained that there had been lapses in their operation when the village’s guards did not allow the mayor’s convoy to p(–foul word(s) removed–). According to Antonio his company has already apologized to Mayor Binay.
In an interview with ANC, Ram Antonio was quoted as saying “I have to explain that we have a standard operating procedure that we have to extend courtesy to three officials of government. That is the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the Vice President of Republic of the Philippines, and the mayor of the municipality that we are covering,” Antonio told ANC.
Ram Antonio also backed the camp of Mayor Junjun Binay’s claim that no arrest was made. He stated that his men, including the village security officer-in-charge Virgilio Robang, were brought to the Makati Police headquarters as part of their SOP.
Both the camp of Mayor Binay and the security agency denied that the guards were left waiting at the Police Headquarters for four hours as claimed by the Inquirer’s report.

how can people in this country follow our laws if those politicians are exempted of it? Mr. Antonio, alam nyo po ba with due respect that that so called VIP LIST that you’re saying now is a sign of lukbo mong kaisipan. well, as an old line says, it’s a simple give an take. give VIP TREATMENT with TRAPOS and they will give you business in return.
