The De La Salle University Green Archers defeated the visiting Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras during the Game One of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League Finals.

The Game Two of the PCCL Finals will be held today at the “The Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila at around 4:00 PM. The game will be held right after the La Salle Green Hills vs. National University (NU) Juniors basketball game.
During the Game One of the PCCL Finals, La Salle outscored the SWU Cobras with 64-54 output. SWU Cobras center Landry Sanjo tried brought his team within 9 points in the final canto but his team failed to take advantage of La Salle’s turnovers.
With La Salle’s victory, they are now ahead with 1-0 lead in the best-of-three finals series, the team is now just one win away from winning their second national title. La Salle won the PCCL title way back the year 2008.
UAAP Finals MVP Jeron Teng, scored with 18 points, six rebounds and five (–foul word(s) removed–)ists during the Game One of the PCCL Finals. Jeron was also named as Player of the Year by the UAAP-NCAA Press Corps.
