Top Rank Inc. CEO and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao’s boxing promoter Bob Arum admitted that Pacquiao, dubbed as Arum’s best fighter, finds himself in the midst of financial difficulties because of being generous.
Bob Arum noted that, Manny Pacquaio, is naturally kind-hearted, “If he wants to keep giving away money to charity, of course he does,” Arum said in an interview with USA Today.
“What am I going to tell him? Don’t give your money to charity? Don’t reach out to help your fellow Filipinos? How can I tell him that?”
Arum advised Pacquiao that he has the option to save his earning in order to be financially secured. Since he is facing P2.2 billion tax case after allegedly failing to declare his tax payments in the US in 2009 and this opt Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) garnished some of his properties and bank accounts.
Despite the allegations and anomalies the boxer is facing, he said that the Sarangani representative is still on his nerve to help by giving away the earnings from his previous fight with Brandon Rios.
“He has a big home in the best area in the Philippines, millions of dollars in property and millions of dollars in (–foul word(s) removed–)ets,” Arum noted.
“But does he have (what) he should have if he prudently saved his money instead of giving it away? No.”
The veteran promoter hinted that the Filipino superstar is going to lose everything including his wealth if he continues to give away his earnings.
