The Philippines “Popstar Princess” Sarah Geronimo pledged to donate the proceeds of her recently concluded “Perfect 10” concert to the survivors and victims of the super typhoon Yolanda.
The 25-year-old Sarah G. expressed sadness on how super typhoon Yolanda destroyed the lives and properties of Kapamilyas in the Visayas region before she sung the song, “Light of a Million Mornings” on her 10th anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
The Kapamilya actress Sarah Geronimo decided to help the victims by donating part of the proceeds of her concert to the survivors of the worst typhoon the hit the Philippines for the past few decades.
Here’s what Sarah Geronimo stated during her concert:
“Gusto kong sabihin na ginagawa ko ito para sa kanila. Sila ang pag-aalayan natin ng concert na ito ngayong gabi. Hindi sapat ang salita para i-describe kung gaano kasakit ang nangyayari sa bansa, sa lahat ng nabiktima ng Yolanda.”
“Masuwerte tayong buhay tayo at magkakasama tayo. Malalapagpasan natin ito. Sa gitna ng dilim, hinagpis at kawalan, nawa’y makita natin ang maliwanag na ilaw na gagabay sa atin para hindi tayo maligaw at mawalan ng pag-asa,” she announced.
Sarah Geronimo celebrated her 10th anniversary in the music and entertainment industry with the “Perfect 10” concert held at the Araneta Coliseum, on November 15, 2013. She showcased what she does best, singing and performing, one of the best part of the Sarah’s concert was her collaboration with Regine Velasquez and Lea Salonga especially the time when the three artists sang together.
