Anderson Cooper of CNN to Cover Typhoon Yolanda Aftermath in Visayas

World-renowned American journalist Anderson Cooper of the CNN, is set to arrive in the Philippines to cover the aftermath of the super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan) in the Visayas region.

The 46-year-old Anderson Cooper is a well-known television personality, he is the primary anchor of CNN news show Anderson Cooper 360°. The popular program is normally broadcast live from New York City studio, however, Cooper, often broadcasts live on location for breaking news stories.

According to the official statement released by CNN, the “Anderson Cooper 360°” host will be doing live reports on the damage caused by “Yolanda” as well as the relief operations for the typhoon victims, according to the CNN statement.

Here’s the statement of CNN:

“Anderson Cooper will anchor Anderson Cooper 360° live from the Philippines beginning tomorrow. With over 10,000 feared dead, Cooper will be live with the latest reports on the devastation and recovery efforts,” CNN said in the statement, which was uploaded on its website on Sunday (Monday in Manila).

Several celebrities have posted their anticipation of Anderson Cooper’s visit to the Philippines. They took to micro-blogging site, Twitter to give thanks to CNN in helping the Philippines on the country’s recovery efforts.
