The preliminary competition will showcase each of the 86 official Miss Universe contestants as they compete in Swimwear and Evening wear competition. The Philippines and Russia are two of the most applauded candidates in the Preliminary Round Introduction.
The preliminary event will be available online through the official website of the Miss Universe 2013, it will be held at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia. Each participating candidates will try their best to impress the preliminary judges of the competition which are composed of the following international personalities:
- Irina Agalarova – Russian fashion icon
- Corinne Nicolas – modeling industry veteran
- David Perozzi – Emmy-nominated producer and journalist.
- Alicia Quarles – New York-based correspondent for E! News
- Gabriel Rivera-Barraza – fashion publicist and philanthropist
- Jose Sariego – Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Telemundo Media
- Elena Semikina – Miss Universe Canada 2010
