The Philippines representative in the 62nd edition of the Miss Universe showcased a Filipiniana dress during the National Costume competition. The traditional Filipiniana attire has a feathers on one side of her head as an additional accent.

The national costume of the 24-year-old Miss Philippine Universe is one of the most creative creations in the competition. During the national costume competition, one of the pre-pageant activities, Ara Arida took time to greet her fans for picture taking and autograph signing while she was being called by her escort.

The National Costume competition was held at the Vegas Mall on November 3, 2013. The competition features the 86 official Miss Universe candidates on their national costume with a modern twists.
The Philippines leading pageant authority, OPMB Worldwide took time to share some photos of Ara Arida during the National Costume Competition. Aside from the photo, OPMB’s Adam Mears also posted of video of Ara Arida during the National Costume presentation.
Ara Arida is now considered as one of the Top 16 candidates in the Miss Universe 2013 which will be having their final competition this coming November 9, 2013 at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.
