Miss Universe Philippines Ariella Arida revealed during an interview with Karen Davila on ANC’s “Headstart” that her ears are “bigger than usual” so she has to use glue to partly conceal it.

The 24-year-old Ara Arida showed her honesty during the interview, most netizens applauded with the way Ara answers all the questions given to her by the host and anchor Karen Davila.
The interview of Ariella Arida on ABS-CBN is her last media appearance on live TV before leaving for Moscow at around 3:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2013. During her stint with the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 beauty pageant some people noticed that she got some imperfections especially with the way she pronounces words.
There are instances that she pronounces F as P and her V become B, but those pronunciation problems were really improved for the past few months. The chemist by profession, refused to heed to calls for her to use an interpreter during the question and answer portion, because in beauty pageants, speaking English well can be a factor according to Ara Arida.
Ara Arida was also quoted as saying that, the important things during a beauty contest is to get the message across and raise awareness on a certain issue when answering the question and answer portion.
Before the conclusion of the interview, host Karen Davila gave some advise to the Miss Philippines representative to the Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia. Karen was quoted as saying that, “You’re doing something good for the country, don’t ever let anyone bother you,” Davila said, pertaining to people hurling criticisms and negative comments against the beauty titlist.
