Filipino-German midfielder Stephan Schrock led the Azkals attack during the Tuesday’s game to retain the title it held last year. The Azkals fell behind at the early stage of the game when Pakistan’s Kaleem Ullah opened the scoring at around 15th minutes.

The Azkals first goal of the night came after Patrick Reichelt scored at the 33rd minute through a brilliant (–foul word(s) removed–)ist from Stephan Schrock. The first half ended with 1-1 all in scorecard despite the fact that the Azkals had the most ball possessions.

Fulham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge proved his worth as the first-choice keeper of the national team as he was able to foil the Pakistani’s attack not only in the first quarter but the entire 90 minutes of play.

Chris Greatwich was instrumental on taking the Philippine Azkals led as he scored at around 78th minutes. The victory of the Philippine was sealed by the most prolific player of the Azkals, Stephan Schrock at around 88th minutes, his second international goal for the Philippines after his memorable goal against the Kuwaiti national football squad.

The Azkals victory proved that they were indeed the top team in the three-team competition ranking at 141st in the latest FIFA results.
