Azkals vs. Chinese Taipei Preview Philippine Peace Cup 2013 at Bacolod

The Philippine men’s national football team, Philippine Azkals will face their Philippine Peace Cup rival and finalist of the last year’s edition of the game, the Chinese Taipei national football squad at the Panaad park and Stadium in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The Azkals have already arrived in Bacolod City, one of the venue which is memorable to the Azkals journey to stardom, the Panaad Stadium is the football turf that the Philippines started their dominance of Mongolia and clinched a ticket to the AFC Challenge Cup held in Nepal on March 2012.

The Philippine Azkals will try to retain its title as they face the finalist of the Philippine Peace Cup 2012, the Chinese Taipe national squad tonight at around 7:00 PM. The Azkals will field one of their strongest line-up this year with the reinforcements from Europe joining the regular members of the Philippine Azkals in Bacolod. Europe-based players, Schrock, Etheridge, Lucena, Gier and Guirado have already landed in the “City of Smiles.”

Coach Hans Michael Weiss is looking forward for a jam-packed Panaad Stadium on Friday night, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental is considered as one of the football-crazy province in the Philippines next to Iloilo, the football capital of the country.

Meanwhile the Chinese Taipei national football team, last year’s runner-up is also aiming to avenge its 3-1 loss to the Philippines. Chinese Taipei (–foul word(s) removed–)istant coach Fang Cheng Jen revealed that his team right now is composed of new young players that have already prepared against the Philippines.

The Chinese Taipei squad is composed of the following footballers; Ruei Wang, Yu-Hung Chiu, Chang-Lun Lin, Mao Li, Kai-Chun Huang, Ming-Chan He, Meng-Hsuan Hsieh, Ting-Yang Chen, Wei-Chih Pan, Hung-Hsu Tai, Yin-Hung Tai, Yin-Hung Kuo, Meng-Chian Lee, Yueh-Han Lin,Chih-Hao Wen, Victor Zi Hsuan Chou Hsieh, Po-Liang Chen, Tai-Lin Lee and Yi-Wei Chen.

Head Coach Kuei-Jen Chen will lead his team together with (–foul word(s) removed–)istant coaches Chi-Fing Chen and Jiunn-Ming Chen, team manage Yen-Jui Chen. The other team which will be participating in the Philippine Peace Cup, the Pakistan national football team is set to arrive on tonight after failing to arrive yesterday.
