Hadji Rieta from “News to Go”, reports that the residents proceeded to the 35 evacuation centers. They say on Tuesday that the reason why the number of evacuees has increased in numbers is because the residents of Barangay Mampang were all forced to evacuate because of the extreme confrontation of the government forces versus the MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front).

All of the evacuees in the area were directly sent to Mampang Elementary School and the government troops are strictly guarding the area.

Other 64,000 residents are in Baliwasan Grandstand and are still suffering from spacious problems after the ravages started on the 9th of September.

Residents have already decided to initiate ‘make-shift tents’ in front of the grandstand due to increasing number of residents.

Many residents now have been experiencing shortages of relief goods from the local government and from the donators right now. Somehow, the local government still accepts donations and relief goods so that they can supply many residents in the city who are victims from the confrontation.
