The closest friend of the controversial Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo made his statement through his official Twitter account. In a news report posted by Pep.Ph, Jose Manalo confirmed that Wally’s absence in Eat Bulaga was because of the controversy between him and EB Babes dancer Yosh Rivera.

According to Jose Manalo, the management of Eat Bulaga! gives Wally Bayola some rest to settle the current problem he is facing with regards to the viral video that became the talk of the town for the past few days.

Wally Bayola started his absence with Eat Bulaga on Monday, September 2, the same time when the controversial viral video was shared on YouTube but it was deleted immediately.
On September 3, the controversy erupted when the video became viral on Facebook and various social networking sites. Jose Manalo asked the netizens to wait for the official statement to be delivered by Wally.
