Alaska Defeated Rain or Shine 94-79 Scored First Victory

The Alaska Aces scored their first victory in the Governors Cup 2013 by defeating the depending champion Rain or Shine Elasto Painters with the final score at 94-79 during the Wednesday’s game at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Alaksa import Wendell McKines dominated the Aces scoring pouring out 30 points and 13 rebounds, he was well supported by JV Casio who scored with 21 points.

During the game, Elasto Painters head coach Yeng Guiao was thrown out of the game for his second technical foul at the 2:11 mark of the final quarter. The technical foul was called after an offensive foul was given to Alaska center Sonny Thoss, Guiao shouted at the referees, “Ngayon ka pa tumawag, ulul!” Guiao shouted.

Alaska coach Trillo was happy about a better effort from his squad after the team lost on its opening (–foul word(s) removed–)ignment against GlobalPort Batang Pier last Friday.  Alaska’s target according to coach Trillo is to reach the playoffs after they came off a title run in the Commissioner’s Cup.
