La Salle Defeated Adamson in Overtime 70-69 (August 14 UAAP Results)

The De La Salle University Green Archers escaped an overtime victory against the Adamson Falcons in the re-opening of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Season 76 after a two-week-break. La Salle defeated Adamson with the final score at 70-69 in a thrilling game held at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.

Almond Vosotros topscored for La Salle with 19 points, including the game-winning basket with just 1.8 seconds remaining in overtime to La Salle a sweet victory over Adamson Falcons.

Vosotros added nine rebounds and five (–foul word(s) removed–)ists for La Salle, which improved its win-loss record to 4-4 after the victory. The Green Archers were enjoying a seven-point lead heading into the fourth quarter but Adamson’s Rodney Brondial scored with Adamson’s 12 points in the final period.

Adamson took the advantage on split free throws by Brondial, 60-59, with two minutes remaining. LA Revilla hit a three-pointer with 56 seconds left to give La Salle a two-point edge. Brondial made two free throws to tie the game at 62-all.

In La Salle’s part Van Opstal missed, but Adamson failed on their three chances to win the game in regulation, resulting in overtime. Brondial finished with 19 points for Adamson leading his team to a sorry loss against La Salle.
