FEU Targets 8th Win Over NU on Wednesday August 14 UAAP Match

The UAAP Season 76 Men’s Basketball Tournament will resume today, with the top-ranked team Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws eyeing for their eighth straight victory to start off the second round of UAAP.

FEU vs. NU

The FEU Tamaraws made a significant first round after they completed a 7-0 sweep with their last victory against Adamson, making an achievement since Season 73 wherein they won their first seven games.

The UAAP have their own two-week break and after that, the FEU is now looking forward to continue their winning-streak against the National University (NU) Bulldogs, the third place finisher in the first round with a record of 4-3 win-loss card. The game will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The NU Bulldogs ended their first-round campaign in a high note beating the DLSU Green Archers. The two-time UAAP MVP Ray Parks has already found his storke after a subpar performance during the first round. NU Coach Eric Altamirano promised his players will be ready for the second round even as they are also coming off from a long day rest because of FIBA Asia Championship.

Meanwhile in the first game of the Wednesday UAAP match-up, Adamson will be facing DLSU in a rematch of their controversial first round encounter.
De La Salle escaped Adamson, 70-67, but the game was marred by a controversial call made by referee Francisco Olivar Jr. with 15.9 seconds left. Olivar called an unsportsmanlike foul on Adamson’s Abrigo, and La Salle was able to ice the game from the free throw line.
