The 2013 National Heroes Day will be celebrated this coming August 26, the last Sunday of August, a national regular holiday in the entire Philippines. There will be a wreath-laying ceremonies at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Based upon Act. No. 3827, the Philippines will celebrate the National Heroes Day on the last Sunday of August. The national heroes day is the commemoration of the known and unknown heroes of the Philippine Revolution and the World War II.
The National Historical Commission will lead the celebration, together with other government agencies such as the Department of Education that will support different activities related to the celebration and other events nationwide.
The National Heroes Day Celebration in August 26, 2013 is the third Holiday in August and already declared as a regular non-working holiday nationwide.
