The proposed crowdsourcing bill by Sen. Teofisto “TG” Guingona III will create a website that will undergo crowsourcing as well. Crowdsourcing is used to solicity ideas from a large group of people, especially from the netizens.
During the launching of “theguingonaproject.com” at the Senate on Wednesday, Sen. Guingona was quoted as saying that, “The more people can participate in the lawmaking process, the more responsible the laws will be to society.” he stated.
If the bill becomes a law, crowdsourcing would be an integral part of the legislative process. All bills would have to be posted online and will be opened to comments and suggestions from the public.
Sen. Guingona earlier stated that the “crowdsourcing bill” seeks to ensure the public’s participation in crafting policies that would affect their lives without the h(–foul word(s) removed–)le and cost of being physically present in the Senate and House of Representives.
