The FIBA Asia Championships 2013 continues its quest to determine the strongest team in Asia that is worthy to represent the region in the upcoming FIBA World Cup to be held in Spain in 2014. The second round of the competition features 12 teams from the former four groups. A new group was formed, the Group E and Group F.
