Filipino rocker Junji Arias moved on to the next round after the Battle Rounds of The Voice of the Philippines on Sunday, August 4, 2013 after he was chosen by Coach Sarah over Dave Lamar.
Junji Arias and Dave Lamar made their own rendition of the popular cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ic song popularized by Queen titled “Bohemian Rhapsody,” in one of the most-applauded performance of the night.
Coach Lea was impressed with the performance and was quoted as saying that, “It’s a test of musicality, a test of control, a test of a lot of things,” according to broadway actress and singer Lea Salonga.
Guest judge and mentor Gary Valenciano who helped Sarah G, praised both the contestants by stating that: “Kung sa energy, the energy of Dave is up there, sinabayan mo si Junji, and you did exactly what you were supposed to do. May character ang boses niyong dalawa. I would like to leave the decision talaga to Coach Sarah,” he said.
