UAAP Season 76 host, Adamson University made an impressive first game performance after they succeeded in winning against the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons with the final score at 79-67 at the SM MOA on Sunday June 30.
Soaring Falcons, Jericho Cruz scored with 19 points, while team mate Ingrid Sewa tallied with double-figure scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to score their first victory.
Coach Leo Austria of the Falcons was so glad with their first victory, according to him during the summer season he studied UP’s games to secure their first game in the opening of the UAAP.
The UP Fighting Maroons was led by Marata who scored with 20 points, while Soyud and Asilum added with 10 points. The defeat of the Maroons is their ninth consecutive loss against the Falcons. The last time the Maroons won was on August 21, 2008.
