NBA D-League star playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, Elijah Millsap will reinforce the Petron Blaze Boosters for the upcoming PBA Governor’s Cup as confirmed by San Miguel executive Noli Eala.
Elijah Millsap has a career averages of 17.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 44 games with the D-Fenders. He stands at 6-foot-6 and the younger brother of Paul Millsap, the power forward of the Utah Jazz in the NBA.
According to Petron coach Olsen Racela they kept Millsap’s name secret while negotiating with him. There are reports in various media outlets that Othyus Jeffers will be Petron’s import but the contract with Millsap was already finalized.
Jeffers is an NBA veteran, who had stints with the Utah Jazz, the San Antonio Spurs and the Washington Wizards. Racela said he and Eala were in constant communication regarding the import choice and they decided to take Millsap instead of Jeffers.
