The Miami Heat entered the Finals as overwhelming favorites to win the title. They were almost unstoppable during the regular season, winning a franchise record of 66 games, including a 27-game stretch that ranked second longest in NBA history.

The Heat were on the verge of winning their back-to-back championship but they faced their hardest challenge of the season against the well-experienced San Antonio Spurs who are chasing their fifth championship since the year 1999.

The unstoppable Miami Heat’s Big Three meet their eventual opponent as the Spurs fielded with their own “Big Three” of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, challenging James, Wade and Bosh.

In terms of NBA records, the Miami Heat have the advantage, of the 17 previous NBA Finals that have gone seven games, the visiting team has won only 3 games. The last time it happens was 35 years ago when the Washington Bullets upset the SuperSonics in Seattle.
