The Philippine National Basketball Team made a successful training camps in Lithuania as part of their preparations in the upcoming FIBA Asia Championships to be held in the country this coming August 2013.
The Gilas Pilipinas was able to win 5 of their 7 games against Lithuanian clubs and the U-20 National Team of Lithuania, the reigning champion of FIBA Europe U-20 basketball championship.
Gilas Pilipinas Coach Chot Reyes described that the most significant achievement on their Lithuanian tip was being “able to instill in them, patriotism and love of country. That we are doing all these, we are sacrificing away from our family for the country.” Coach Chot stated.
