The controversial host and comedian, Vice Ganda was summoned by the MTRCB together with the writers of his weekly talk show, “Gandang Gabi Vice,” to discuss setting of rules on the use of comedy bar humor on his shows.
The complaint against Vice Ganda was made by Socorro Guato, Jr., the head of the Born Free Coalition who filed a written complaint in the office of the Movie & Television Review and Cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ification Board (MTRCB).
Aside from the MTRCB complain, the Born Free Coalition also get the attention of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR). The complaint is against Vice Ganda in his relation to his offensive jokes about GMA-7 VP for News and Public Affairs Jessica Soho’s weight.
Based upon the complaint, Guatlo asked the MTRCB Chairman Atty. Eugenio Villareal to require Vice Ganda to prevent the use of comedy bar humor whose stock in trade insult on his show. He also requested Villareal to stop the distribution of “I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta” CD copy in the market.
The MTRCB Chairman Villareal also said that he will also meet with representatives of TV5 and GMA-7 later this month to discuss the same concern.
